These 2 pieces that either stand alone or joined as 1 are in silver plate. Each one stands 8 1/2 inches high. Each one is marked near the bottom, CAZENOVIA ABROAD (Registered),Patent No. D336594, Made in Holland. Each one has a smooth coating on the base which it keeps from scratching. A wonderful design.
