Description: Etching by T. Moran titled Cattle. Peter Moran came to America in 1844. His family first settled in Baltimore but moved later to Philadelphia. He began his appenticeship in 1853 with the wood engraving firm of Scattergood and Telfer.

Moran began etching seriously in 1878. In 1880 Moran traveled to East Hampton, Long Island, his summer there was an important development in his career as an etcher.

Image size 4 inches high X 5 1/8 inches wide. Framed in a black and gilt frame. Signed in plate lower left.
