Description: Julius H. Haehnel (German, 1823 - 1909) is known for his intricate, realistic bronzes. His sculptures of lions have sold at several different auctions in the United States this past year. This playful cat on bronze base has a sweet face, and is in good condition (please see additional photographs). It measures 7 inches long by about 4 inches high. The base is signed "J. Haehnel, FC."
