Description: I just love really old cast iron, the nice smooth feel. This item was made originally for a heavy chain extender, or connecor. WIth interlocking devices on the ends. High quality made, unsure what the markings read, but here. But what I liked is the look of a perfect #8. Great paperweight decor or use. To use it, you could easily flip one side around, slide your chain in, then easily lock again. Amazes me sometimes, with some great older inventions, that they don't continue them?
