Description: From the great, circa 1888 ,Illustrated Book of the Dog, published by Cassells, the chromolithograph of a Maltese Terrier and a Pomeranian., The Maltese, "Charley", The Property of Mr.James Fawdry. The Pomeranian, "Hugh", The Property of Lady Giffard. The Pom is quite large in comparison with the Maltese, which was the size difference in the 19th century. A wonderful image, in wonderful condition. Unframed, 10 3/8" x 8" . A beautiful piece of authentic antique dog art.
