Description: Impressive inkwell, large & heavy Carved of marble that is a rich caramel color with gray & black graining .The overall style appears to be from the art nouveau era .The free flowing movement of the carving is a natural as can be .The inkwell sits on three brass feet, the top of the inkwell is brass with the original as found patina.The hinge is very sound & the top is in good working order. Inside it has a blown glass well, has a tiny chip off of the outer lip. This inkwell will make a huge statement on any desk top. Measuring 10” wide x 5 ½” high x 4 ½” deep.
