Description: Offered for sale is a very special Western Zhou Dynasty (11th C - 771 BC) kneeling nephrite jade figure of a Chinaman. Delicately carved, this figure has incised features throughout, including facial features, ears, and the outlines of a cloak. He has a hole drilled into his base, and another hole drilled into his head. (This hole does not go "through" the figure and may have been a mounting hole when the figure was carved.) The top of his head is perfectly flat. Weighing in at 3.5 oz., this figure measures 2 5/8" H x 1" W x 1 3/4" D. This early jade figure will be a worthy addition to any jade collection.
