Description:
This beguiling pair of 1930’s single-arm pewter sconces is marvelous with their original gold tone finish. Each sconce begins and finishes with a large top finial comprised of two ancone-style S- curls, which are placed back-to-back and meet in the center creating lightly brushed, red and green fleur-de-lis’. The body of the back plate displays a perfectly distinctive, cast, wood grain texture. The sconce’s arms begin at the bottom in the form of inverted palmettes then reach up from the sconce’s body to meet floret ornamented platforms, which support gadrooned bobeches. The wall lamps are in excellent condition. They have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. They are 13 ¾” long, 4 ¾” wide and protrude 4 ¼” from the wall.
