Description: CAPTIVATING JOHN HENRY BELTER ROSALIE LAMINATED ROSEWOOD PARLOR SET Beautiful Victorian Rococo Laminated Rosewood Six Piece Parlor Set, circa 1850's Fantastic Victorian Rococo Laminated Rosewood Six Piece Parlor ensemble by John Henry Belter executed in the pattern known as *Rosalie* for His most discerning clients. Similar Belter Rosalie seating furniture can be found on pages 84 ~ 86 in the reference book, "American Furniture of the 19th Century", by Richard & Eileen Dubrow and viewed in person at the Rosalie Mansion in Natchez, MIssissippi. The set at the Rosalie Mansion is the namesake set of the Rosalie pattern and was purchased from Belter in 1858 and is currently on display for all to view and enjoy. You can own a set just like it !! Features include a Settee, Arm Chair and four Side Chairs. All six pieces feature laminated rosewood construction, the chairs all have laminated rosewood backs, clusters of grapes, floral crest, Rose Buds, serpentine seats, cabriole legs and knee and skirt floral carvings. The Belter Rosalie famous clusters of grapes are prominent on all six pieces. This Belter Rosalie set is presented to you with a professionally refreshed finish, very minor imprerfections and like new, beautiful, rich Damask tone on tone garnet and tan upholstery button & tufted material.
