Description:
A very unusual 22" porcelain open work figural lamp base, which is embellished with numerous Greek or Roman Mythological Figures on the front and back. The sides are adorned with gilt tipped blue-grey swans. Gilt adornment everywhere. Absolutely stunning and in excellent condition without any damage or discernable wear to the handpainting or enameling. Filigreed bronze metallic base. Needs professional re-wiring. This gorgeous porcelain lamp is believed to be from the 1930s. Unmarked, but we have been reliably informed that it is probably CapoDiMonte, or from that region. It is believed that the markings may be inside the metal base.
