Description: This is an early nickel plated cap gun that is clearly marked "PAT. SEPT. 11 23" and also is marked "H10 S W". The nickel plating is better than 95% intact, that's unusual, just a little missing around the end of the barrel on one side and in the cap chamber. The hammer cock lever is broken off with only about 1/3 of it remaining, but there is no other damage on this cast iron gun anywhere. The trigger spring works fine and is quite strong, pull the hammer back and it stays until you pull the trigger, with a good strong snap. This is one of the few cast cap guns that I've seen with the early Patent date on it, and with almost all it's nickel plating still intact. A nice display item!
