Description: Oil on canvas, framed. Signed lower right corner: "D Clark". Canvas stretcher inscribed verso: "Canoa D. Clark Aug. 1960". Label attached to frame verso: "Patti Cadby Birch/Everett B. Birch Collection. Artist: Clark, Dee. Title: Canoa, Medium: Oil on canvas, Size:15 1/2 h x 20 w, Date: Aug. 1960. Spring Bay, St Thomas, United States Virgin Islands.". Dimensions: Canvas: 16 x 20 1/2in. Frame: 25 x 29 1/2in. Weight: 7lbs. 6oz. Condition: Surface of the work is slightly dirty. Extensive minor nicks and losses to surface paint scattered throughout canvas, most significant and clearly visible along horizontal center of canvas with losses measuring up to 1/2in. diameter. Craquelure to surface paint throughout. Painting priced for restoration. Otherwise, good condition overall with no evidence of inpainting when examined under u.v. light. Artist's Biography:
