Description:
This useful item happens to be a piece of Victorian campaign
furniture where the stand and table all fold together so that it
can be easily transported then opened to become a table in an
officer's tent. There it could be a table to serve from like the
traditional butler's tray or set up with dinner for the officer, for
use as a writing table or just as a bedside piece.
It is made of mahogany with the nicely turned legs - the canvas
straps are original. Beautiful solid top. - Simple and elegant in
design. You can see from the photos how it is hinged so the top
just flips up to fold. Great today as a high coffee table or side
table.
