Description:
This green satin glass figural powder jar known as CAMELLIA is shown and described on pages 40-41 in Whitmyer: Bedroom & Bathroom Glassware of the Depression Years. With a striking Art Deco design featuring a sitting flapper girl, with one outstretched leg and one leg bent at the knee under her. The jar and lid has a gently rounded square shape with a large camellia blossom on each corner. She is beautifully executed with fine definition and attention to detail. The jar with lid measures about 8 inches tall x 4 3/4 inches square and, with the exception of a a few minor chips along the rim of the lid and on the rim of the base, are both in excellent condition
