Description: This is a lovely rich gold colored satin glass compote with hand painted flowers in gold and blue. The piece is accented with gold trim. Satin glass was made in the late 1800s and its matte finish was made by hydrofluoric acid vapor treatment. Satin glass is a wonderful form of art glass. This compote is beautiful and yet still functional. It is in great condition and has only two tiny flea bites on the rim. Additional pictures will be provided upon request.
