Description: This is a grey or light black transfer or transferware butter chip, butter pat or small butter plate made in the 1890s in the Elton pattern made by Alfred Meakin, England. The ironstone butter pat measures 3 inches in diameter and is made of scalloped ironstone with a floral transfer pattern with gold trim. The butter pat, which makes a wonderful teabag caddy now, is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or gold wear.
