Description: Dark Chocolate Brown with a high gloss glaze and gold trim. Handpainted after glazing with brilliant colors in a floral design of embossed tulips and greenery. The colors are in orange, green, blue, and yellow. The deep brown background sets the colors and the raised floral design off wonderfully. The lid has a circular vent hole. The raised tulip and greenery design is on both front and back of this great earthenware English teapot marked in circular stamp on bottom R Sudlow & Sons Burslem. Made in England is impressed into the bottom also. In researching this piece I have discoverd that this company ran from 1886 until 1965. This sturdy teapot measures 6-1/2 inches tall and about 18 inches around bottom under spout and handle. It is in very good condition.
