For sale, a pair of intricate Asian Burmese (Myanmar) incised yun lacquer paintings or pictures, featuring two scenes of Buddha, one that appears to be the enlightenment, the other of Buddha as Moneky King. The images have been made by incising the lacquer and filling the incised lines with pigments of green, red/orange and yellow, a process known as "yun". These paintings measure 16 inches high and 11 inches wide. The Monkey King painting has a 1" chip to the lacquer at the upper right hand corner on the back (not noticeable from the front) and the Englightenment scene has a very small chip at the upper right corner. Other than that, these paintings are in good to very good condition. Buy them now!
