Description:
For sale is an early Brush-McCoy Pottery? onyx strawberry jar. Drop-dead gorgeous brown onyx, (with blue and green too), glazed strawberry jar. Very confident this is a Brush-McCoy item, (I have several items that are early BM onyx items, and none are marked). This is likely a rare item since it is not shown in either of my books on BM Pottery. And, it is an early one, very easy to distinguish by the rich glaze on it, all over crazing, thick, and dry bottom rim. It stands 7 inches tall. It has one teensy fleaspeck on an edge of one of the holes; and some pits in the glaze. Nothing visually distracting, and very common on this old pottery. Colors are blue, brown, tan. This is a very unique and beautiful piece for your onyx collection! (This onyx pottery goes very well with both Mission - Arts and Crafts style, as well as Contemporary furnishings). Thanks for visiting More Than McCoy!
