Description: This is a great beer tray made in the early 1920's or later 30's. The tray is not marked with a makers mark at all. It was made for Jacob Ruppert, Inc. 1601-1639 3rd Ave, between 91st and 92nd Streets in New York City. They were in business from 1867 to 1920 then again from 1933 to 1965. In the 1940's it became Five Star Brewing Co. and Yankee Brewing Co. in 1962. This tray is 1-1/4" deep and 12" in diameter. The front of the tray look good for its age with a little pitting but no major scratches. The back shows a lot of scratches since that's the part that scoots across the tables and bars. The graphics are good with a banner and an American Eagle at the top with the R for Ruppert and two glasses of beer about to clink a toast.
