This fine quality late 19thC Continental Majolica Candle Stick from the famous Brothers Urbach is offered in good condition for it's age with only a couple of small nicks to the holder.
This one stands 71/2 in high and is a rare item with it's design of an old man resting.

BROTHERS URBACH
Alfred Urbach along with his younger brother established a pottery atTurn-Teplitz in 1882 and continued to produce mainly majolica goods until 1906 when the factory was taken over Triptis AG and manufactor was transferred over porcelain items. Although the brothers produced vases (that today fetch vast amounts) and other item they are best known for figural items includings smokers items and candle sticks. The quality of the factories production is considerd of a high standard and as the factory was only in production for 24 years is becoming very sort after.
