The 1970 Franklin Mint limited edition/solid sterling silver Christmas Plate by Norman Rockwell, "Bringing Home the Tree", the artists first commemorative plate, his first work in this medium and the first Christmas plate issued by the Franklin Mint. Rockwell insists on authenticity in his art. Costumes, settings-even the models themselves-convey the spirit of an actual time and place. The subjects on the plate are friends of Rockwell's- a father and a sons who live in Stockbridge, Mass., where his studio is located. The plate is in perfect condition. The original presentation case and outer box (age spots on box) as well as the felt bag to protect the plate are included. (2)
