A rare & fine c1925 quality Bradley and Hubbard pair of dark Bronze Patinated Iron Bookends featuring Hiawatha and Nokomis, 2 Native American Indians immortalized in Longfellow's poems. Both bookends have pine & oak branches surrounding the famous words & portraits. Quoted as follows: "Forth into the forest straightway all alone walked Hiawatha proudly, with his bow and arrows." and..... "From the Red Deer's flesh Nokomis made a banquet in his honor, all the village came and feasted, all the guests praised Hiawatha". Condition is excellent with the Bradley & Hubbard paper label intact. No wear to the wonderful chocolate brown patina, no scratches either.
