Description:
This is a French Ormolu and Marble Grecian Lady Bracket Clock. It is made of Ormolu and a variety of colors of marble. It is in good condition. The Clock has an extremely striking case with the figure of a gorgeous Grecian Lady seated upon a chair. She is in period dress and poses in a beautifully reclined position. She has an intricate necklace around her neck; most likely from the jewelry box on the table beside her. The Table has a detailed design with Griffin Legs. These connect to the Under Tier. The Clock is nestled here. It has an ornate Porcelain Dial which is hand painted with a thistle design. The numerals are crimson and have a elegant scrolling design. The Hands are black. The Dial has two Winding Holes, one for the Movement and one for the Bell which strikes the hour. The Base of the Clock is made of multi-tiers of marbles in varying shades. The op is white marble with gray veins. The Base is black marble. A beautiful, Green Marble Frieze flows across the front. A fine molding of green marble frames the top of the black marble base. This is a simply beautiful French Marble and Ormolu Bracket Clock. The lovely sculpture which decorates it is a work of art. The Clock will grace your home with period elegance.
