Description: Intense Blue Opaline, one of the most coveted colors in the Opaline family.

The Caddy is a nice larger size and has a good weight. It measures 5 3/8" long by 3 1/2 wide by 3" tall, ca. 1850.

Clasp front and hinge back. The clasp is on the top and snaps down shut onto the bottom dore bronze mount. The tiniest flake on the back by the hinge. This is not noticeable and unless pointed out it would go unnoticed. There is a slight gap between the mounts and glass. The glass is stable and does not move in the mount. The mount has some patina but no verdigris.

Over all this is a very lovely Opaline Box and is priced right.
