Description: The silver overlay on this black amethyst glass vase illustrates a bird on a branch with berries and leaves.The bird is about to catch a bug flying nearby.The black amethyst glass of this vase transmits some light at the violet end of the spectrum when placed in front of a very strong light source. The vase is 7 1/2" tall and is signed on the bottom : "CZECHO SLOVAKIA". It dates from the period 1918-1928. It is in excellent condition
