Description: OK I don't think you will ever find another painting like this one. Painted on a Silver Plate platter and then matted for a tremendous and very different feel. Never have seen anything like this before and I doubt you will see anything like it again. Alan Price was a famous painter in his own right with recent a painting bringing $4,250. Many multi-thousand $ sales and a terrific artist. He also was a major artist for Wedgwood. Circa 1960 and dated as such. Incredible piece with hangers to hang on wall.

Alan Price, born March 7, 1926 in Sheffield England to Beatrix and Harold Henry Price, died December 29, 2002. Alan, an accomplished artist, over the past 50 years exhibited at several galleries including Kennedy Galleries and Portraits Inc. He holds numerous awards including an Academician degree given by the National Academy of Artists in 1990. Alan studied art in England at the Leamington School of Art, Leeds College of Art, and the Royal College of Art prior to coming to the United States in 1952 to work for Wedgwood as a designer. Alan was a past Commodore of the Moriches Yacht Club, and member of the National Academy of Art. Alan is a World War II veteran having served in the Royal Corps of Signals and Education Corp. His interests included classical music and sports, particularly yacht racing.
