Description: This is an antique ceramic cottageware or cottage ware biscuit barrel or biscuit jar made by Keele Street Pottery, England in the 1920-1930s. The thatched cottage biscuit barrel measures 7 inches high by 6.25 inches long by 5.5 inches wide, is hand painted and has it's original rattan handle. The cottageware biscuit jar is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or wear. The marks seen on the bottom are stilt marks used during manufacture and decorating and are a normal part of the design. Cottage ware is very collectible and this is a great example.
