Description: This is one the most beautiful Secretary desks I have ever come across. The Front leaf is inlaid solid Birds Eye Maple. The Top is also solid birds eye. It is type two birds eye with a lot of depth to it. The inlay on the front is sharp and quite perfect. It has ribbon, leaves and berries. The front legs are very delicate and absolutely flawlessly shaped. The legs and side panels are carved out of a single piece of maple. It has been refinished and well done. It has the date 1873 on the inside lock. The photos don’t do it justice the wood is really quite impressive. This will make a great entryway piece or add elegance to any room.
