Description: Biedermeier style curly ash plant stand with square tapered legs gathered with a median stretcher and with a top surface veneered in highly dramatic curly ash; legs decorated with oval medallions and entire piece complimented with ebonized mouldings. Probably American made c. 1900 for the prestigious Seattle department store Frederick and Nelson (see label). Overall this piece is in wonderful condition with minor professional restoration.
