Description: Biedermeier period draft screen made from the most exquisite golden yellow bee's wing mahogany with typical Biedermeier elements including ebonized mouldings and dramatic geometric and sculptural form. This piece features a sliding fabric panel that is at least late 19th c. and perhaps original. It is a stunning piece of brocade. We believe this draft screen to be either Northern German or possibly Danish c. 1830.
