Dimensions: 110 inches high (97 inches high for the bookcase +
13 inches high for the removable crest), 65.75 inches wide and
19.75 inches deep. The most amazing Brittany Bookcase we have
ever seen! This bookcase is huge and very impressive with some
of the best carvings! As with most Brittany pieces, the carvings
in this bookcase depict peasant life. This bookcase, however,
has some very unusual scenes not seen in most Brittany pieces.
The top features carvings of dogs, a blacksmith, a herder, a farm
with a horse and a river spanned by a bridge! The bottom
features amazing carvings of family life consisting of a family of
farmers outside and an interior scene. This bookcase will
definitely be the focal point of any room!
Condition: This piece is an antique and has the usual wear
associated with its age. It has dents, nicks, scratches, chips,
splits and mars consistent with usage. Some previous repairs
consistent with age.
