Held in private collection, the condition of this piece remains unchanged from the time of its original 1940's field acquisition. While a majority of these anklets were buried, many made their way onto family altars w they received the favored Baule libations of ground millet, egg, and blood. Make special note of the minute intricate detail, gorgeous deep chocolate patina, minute brassy highlights peeking through the residue of wear, and burnished interior edges which indicate this was a favored old piece - a truly spectacular specimen!
