Description: Classic Candy Basket. Graceful helmet-shaped sugar basket were used primarily on the dessert table. It was not until 1780 that it was put into geral used when serving tea. At that time the Honorable John Bying, Who was considered to have been fully informed regarding fashionable tea drinking, observed. "Tea with sugar is a great curiosity".
