Description: This is a nice example of a 1050’s catcher’s mask. The style is very similar to the late 1940’s masks but the 40’s masks usually have more leather and lacing around the front metal part of the mask. The 1960’s masks are also similar but lighter weight metal was used by then. This mask measures approximately 10” x 9” x 4” deep. Condition: Since the mask was actually worn it shows signs of being used. The leather is scuffed and the canvas straps have rust spots from the metal fittings.
