Description: This pendant from the Azores is a cross section of either a sperm whale tooth, or a walrus tusk. It has a modern scrimshaw of a sailing ship on the polished front face. The rear face is plain and unpolished. The scrimshaw is signed �J�. Pendant measures 5 cm by 2.7 cm (just under 2 inches by 1.1/8 inches). Excellent condition.
