Description: Sioux beaded 7 inch rawhide Awl case with beaded drop and beaded flap. Nice old piece in very good original condition. Red and pink beading on white background which is quite typical for the early 1900's. The Sioux women wore these on their belt to carry their sewing or beading awl. Made of rawhide so the needle nose of the awl could not penetrate and accidently stick the wearer. From Pine Ridge, crica 1910.

Condition: good Year: 1910
