Item/Description: Vintage ca. 1977 Avon Limited Edition Commemorative 1776 Bicentennial Celebration Tribute, handcrafted, carved porcelain & pewter Collector "Schooners-Clipper Ships" Nautical-Maritime motif-theme Huge-Oversized Mens’-Men’s-Man’s Lidded Beer Stein-Mug-Tankard ***This fabulous Avon Stein is exquisitely carved in a retro "faux" Ivory Scrimshaw manner, depicting stunningly detailed images of Seagulls flocking amidst a procession of tall Sailing Ships-Sailboats-Masted Schooner Ships in a 19th Century Port-Harbor Setting, with the following legend running the entire lower circumference of this marvelous Stein: "Jib-Headed Ketch-Barkentine-Brigantine-Bark-Staysail Schooner" ***Even the Handle is decoratively ornamental consisting of a twisted-braided design so as to resemble Ship’s Rope-Cording Age/Period: Vintage - ca. 1977 (1970s) Manufacturer/Identification/Markings: Hand-Written "Avon - Handcrafted in Brazil exclusively for Avon Products Inc., 1977" and Incised Serial No." 331968 - Avon" Material(s)/Format: Raised Relief Embossed Carved Porcelain/Ceramic Body & Pewter Lid Size/Measurements (measured to the top of its Lid): Oversized - approximately 9"H x 5" at its widest middle section Condition: Aesthetically Near Mint, evincing no noted nicks, chips, cracks, breaks or repairs (but for lack of original box and 8 ox bottle of cologne which initially accompanied this Stein, condition would be graded Mint)!
