Description: This amazing and substantial pair of ca 1910 Gothic Revival double arm sconces retains the original, beautifully aged, darkened silver plate over cast brass. They have shield shaped backs with scrolled details. The top of the back plates extends to support superbly cast foliate, crest and scroll detailed straps that support leafy accented wax-pans. The wall lamps are in excellent condition with the exception of a mistake in casting of the bottom finial of one of the sconces (pictured) which is hardly noticeable when the sconces are hung. They have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia sake; however, we would gladly replace them with new ones if so desired. They are 15” long, 9 ¼” wide and protrude 4 ½” from the wall.
