Description: We must indicate our ignorance of the origins of this wonderful oriental mirror. We know that it has oriental (Chinese or Japanese) script on the left rear side and oriental designs to the rear. The script is raised as are the designs. The face of the mirror is polished metal and is integral with the rest of the mirror. It may well be a Japanese or Chinese form of silver although I cannot verify this. It is a metal that will take a high polish and it is relatively heavy. All in all a wonderful Asian piece.
