Description: Known as Parakeets this very rare figural powder jar features two Parakeets nestled against one another on its lid. Shown and described on pages 18-19 in Whitmyer: Bedroom & Bathroom Glassware of the Depression years. Beautifully produced, circa 1930, with very high, near Lalique, quality of the frosted crystal glass and in the definition of the Parakeet's features, their long tails and the large flowers that adorn both the lid and jar. Measuring 5 1/4" tall x 5" across the rim with, excepting for a few minor inner rim nicks on the base, both lid and jar in excellent condition.
