Description:
This lovely Brass & Rhinestone Necklace just screams of Art Deco.
Rich fuchsia emerald cut glass stones set in rows of three on either side of a gold tone chain that hold this incredible classic Art Deco Pendant. There is another set of three fuchsia off set from the center of the design. Then off to the side we have a set of three white square rhinestones peaking out from behind a raised portion of the flowing wave brass design. One the left there is a projection that to me looks like a wing.
This is a very unusual piece. On the back there is a loop that looks to me like you could even dangle an a drop pearl or other type of pendant enhancer. So with this piece you have the options of wearing as is or making it even more elegant. I think that is kind of cool!
The pink or fuchsia stones are gold foil backed. The white stones are set in such a way I cannot tell.
The clasp is has been replaced. One of the jump rings on the right that holds the row of stones to the pendant has been replace that is a tiny bit over sized. That jump ring is slightly over lapping on itself. Neither of these very small less than original pieces are not noticeable nor visible while being worn.
I have the feeling that is was a signed piece but since the clasp has been replaced I cannot say for sure what it is. Perhaps it is Corocraft ? Or could be a Miriam Haskell? Really it does not matter who made it that fact remains it is a drop dead gorgeous piece of original Art Deco Work.
The pendant alone is 2 1/8” x 1 ½ “
It hangs down from the neck 8.3/4” from the beginning of the chain to the very end of the pendant.
The rest of the piece is in excellent condition.
