Description:
Rare 1930's art deco figural lady lamp with a signed Czechoslovakian end-of-day glass globe shade. This wonderful lamp has deco Egyptian revival design elements with a great details. This lamp (though a version not as nice as this one) is featured on age 41 of the Art Deco Lighting book. She is quite rare in that she has a chrome or nickel wash over metal with outstanding details and the original, intricate shade and fitting. The lovely bright and colorful globe is Czechoslovakian and signed as such on the rim. The lamp also comes with the original cord (which I strongly suggest being checked for safely or changed all together).
CONDITION: The lamp is in outstanding condition. There is a small air bubble inside the top of the globe and a tiny scratch on the side, neither detract from this beautiful glass globe.
SIZE: The lamp stands and overall height of 18 1/4 inches and is 5" wide at the base.
