Description: Purportedly this piece of architectural terra cotta came from a elementary school in Ohio, where some of the best potteries were located. Showing an image of Jack climbing the beanstalk, the design is made in high relief and covered in matte glazes. The only marking is an impressed "GIEBEL" on one edge. Although it has a few small chips, it remains a good example of the Arts and Crafts terra cotta work done at the beginning of the 20th Century.
