Description:
Offered here is a vintage Aquastar Regate Yacht Timer men's watch. The Regatta was introduced in the mid-1960's by Aquastar Swiss watch manufacturer founded in 1962. In 1964, Aquastar received a Swiss patent for a watch allowing the counting of a restricted number of minutes. Even in 1965 Heuer began to distribute the full line of Aquastar watches which included the Aquastar Regate, a countdown timer designed for sailing. Some wacthes had Heuer logo on the dial. You can see some examples at /_Chronographs/65.Regatta/. This watch has silver tone dial with silver tone applied markers and black color numbers on the perimeter. Silver tone hands. Red color sweep second hand. Counting indicator between 10 and 2. Signed crown at 2. Push button at 4. Dial is in good condition. Very light scratches on the crystal. Crown need adjustment and minute hand need to be adjusted, because sometimes second hand will stock on top of minute hand. Push button works but top of the button is loose. Need repair or new part. Movement: Swiss, Felsa 4000N, automatic, incabloc, antimagnetic,signed Aquastar Geneve. Screw down back. Waterproof. Stainless steel case is in good condition and showing normal wear for the age. Some scrathces on the case and case back. Case apprx. 38mm X 48mm (with lugs). Watch runs. Countdown function working, with only problems listed in the description. Rare!
