Description: Produced by, Apollo of New York, circa 1910, this oval brass or ormolu, portrait jewelry or dresser box, features a lid with floral openwork and a large, centered, prong set, faceted, green glass jewel all over a celluloid covering with a beige satin lining beneath. The Interior is lined in beige velvet. The box features an enamel lid bordered in ormolu or brass with a central brass bordered 1 1/2 inch signed hand painted portrait of a beautiful young lady. Marked on the Bottom – APOLLO. Measures 6 inches wide x 4 inches deep x 2 inches tall, sits on four balled feet and, with the exception of some wear and a little staining to the enamel and to the interior velvet, is in excellent condition.
