Description: This brass velvet lined jewelry box was produced by the Apollo Studios during the early 1900s (Apollo opened in 1909 and closed in 1922) . Featuring intricately embossed geometrically patterned metalwork with black and red enameled highlights bordering and on the top of the hinged lid. The bottom is lined in taupe colored felt or velvet. Measures 6 inches long x 4 3/4 inches deep x 2 1/4 inches tall. The inside is 2 inches deep and each of the four feet is 3/4 of an inch high. The base is engraved with the APOLLO mark and numbered 3045. Other than some tarnishing and wear, due to age the jewelry box is in excellent used condition
