Description: Outstanding, fine Sheffield, silver egg server by Mappin & Webb Sheffield of London. Outstanding detail that can't be seen in this picture. The classical wreath handle has so much fine detail. The base of each cup has a finely beaded ring around it. The construction definitely dates this piece from the last half of the 19th century. It has hand-made nuts and bolts. Measures 6 3/4" in diameter x 7" high. The quality of the silver is incredible. I am assuming that this is silver on copper. It is in very good condition with nos scratches or dents. It also comes apart. Each cup sits on a pin or pivot and the handle is also attached by a wing nut.
