Description: Antique Worcester Porcelain Dessert Dish, 1845 to 1850. Soft paste porcelain. Embossed with rose buds and leaves this design originated at the Chelsea porcelain factory and was also produced at Worcester from the 1750's. In the 19th century the pattern was named after the Earl of Coventry who lost his sight in a riding accident. He ordered a service in this pattern so that he could feel the raised decoration. This dessert plate / dish with a scalloped edge, modeled rose leaves and rose bud in relief. In Excellent Condition. Lowest price is $550, FIRM.
