Description: Antique Wizard Pyrography Box. Very cool old box with brass corner tabs that read: Wizard LE? Gramessons, xxxxtown PA. This box is in good condition; has one dark dot on lid, (not sure if this is just part of the wood grain, or happened when they stained the box, or burnished it, but I don't consider it a flaw). It is 6 long x 2 tall x 2.75 deep. May have been used for cufflinks, etc. Features roses. Pyrography is a term used for a design that is outlined by burning, sometimes enhanced with color, in which every space is shaded and textured. It is also referred to as Flemish Art. And, this box is a very nice example of pyrography!
